Tea Formula

Wild Cherry (Prunus virginiana)

Wild Cherry bark soothes respiratory inflammation and irritation. Relieves various types of coughs. The slightly sweet flavor of Wild Cherry makes this formula a family favorite; even your kids will take it!

Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)

Licorice is an adaptogen herb suitable for individuals with adrenal insufficiency and low cortisol levels. It has broad-spectrum antiviral properties and is a synergist and harmonizer, enhancing other herbs' effectiveness in a formula.

Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis)

Hyssop has antiviral properties and is particularly effective in treating respiratory symptoms associated with colds and flu such as coughs.

Slippery Elm (Ulmus rubra)

Slippery Elm bark is a demulcent that nourishes and soothes irritated bronchial tissues, providing relief for coughs and sore throats.

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum spp.)

Cinnamon possesses a distinctive flavor profile that exudes a comforting warmth and a delightful sweetness. Additionally, it has been acknowledged to enhance digestion, reduce blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and promote circulation.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale)

Ginger energizes the heart and gets the blood moving, relieves cramping, is a digestive aid, helps relieve migraines, and aids in reducing inflammation.

Orange Peel (Citrus x sinensis)

Orange peel has more enzymes, flavonoids, and phytonutrients than the fruit itself! Plus, it's a digestive bitter, which can help stimulate digestion.

Warm the honey and the liquid together until well-blended. You can add some brandy (generally 1/2 cup) if you don’t want to refrigerate the mixture. Otherwise, store it in the refrigerator.

Dosage: Adults take 1 tbsp. at the first sign of a cough or sore throat, every 2-3 hours while sick. For children ages 2 to 12, take 1 tsp. every few hours.  For children under two, do not give a product with honey without consulting your physician
